If you’ve come across a Gravatar profile that seems to be misusing the platform or violating terms of use (such as displaying inappropriate content, spam, impersonation, or any other form of abuse), it’s important to report it to ensure Gravatar remains a safe and positive space for everyone.
Gravatar is a service by WordPress.com, and here are our User Guidelines that we will use when investigating any potential abuse.
How to report abuse:
- Please login to your Gravatar account.
- Click the ‘3 dots’ menu in the top right of the profile you want to report.
- Choose ‘Report abuse’ and fill in the contact form.
We aim to promptly review and investigate all complaints that we receive, but if and how we respond will depend on a variety of factors, such as the information available to us and the type of violation. We may also contact the profile owner to inform him/her of the complaint.
If we’re not in a position to make a determination (for example, whether something is defamatory or not), we defer to the judgment of a court.
