Replacing backgrounds and adding stickers are two ways you can personalize your avatar.

Remove or Change Background

Here is how to replace the background of an avatar:

1. Log in to Gravatar.com/profile
2. Click “Avatars” in the menu
3. Select an existing avatar or upload a new photo
4. Click the three dots (⋮) on your avatar
5. Select “Edit”
6. Click “Background” in the editing menu
7. Choose your background:
   • Select from one of the preset available options
   • Use the ‘Search backgrounds’ button to find specific scenes like “beach” or “office
   • Upload your own background image

Add Stickers

Stickers are icons, flags, and other images that you can add on top of an avatar.

Here is how to add stickers to your avatar:

1. In the avatar editor, click “Stickers”
   • Select from one of the default stickers
   • Use the ‘Search stickers’ button to find more
   • Upload your own sticker or image
2. Adjust sticker size and position by:
   • Drag to move
   • Pinch or use slider to resize
   • Use rotation handle to turn
3. Add multiple stickers by repeating steps 1-2
4. Click “Save” when finished

Pro tip: Search for “glasses” or “hat” to find classic avatar accessories!

All changes sync automatically across every site using your Gravatar.
